Who we are
Fountain Grains & Greens is a farm-driven restaurant that focuses on fostering ceaseless, mutually beneficial relationships with local farmers and working with them to procure what’s needed to support regenerative agriculture. The menu highlights the bounty of rotational grains, greens, fruits, and vegetables grown seasonally through signature grain bowls and salads.
A collaboration between longtime colleagues and champions of farm-driven cooking, led by acclaimed chef and born-and-raised Angeleno Aric Attebery (formerly of Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro, Sous Chef at Dan Barber’s Blue Hill at Stone Barns, and the former Chef de Cuisine of Otium), Fountain Grains & Greens offers locals and visitors alike an opportunity to enjoy farm-driven offerings prepared with intention utilizing only locally and regionally-sourced ingredients.
Located on Fountain Avenue, just steps from various other innovative dining concepts such as Saffy’s and Found Oyster, Fountain Grains & Greens was largely inspired by its locale, which chef Attebery holds a deep-rooted familial connection to, as his great grandfather Joe Walsh owned a market and restaurant/bar concept nearby on Melrose and Western. This connection to - admiration of - Los Angeles’ rich and storied history is evident through not only the name but the spirit of the space as well, which aims to honor tradition in its relationships with local farmers and its approach to hospitality.
